A Life-Threader

During the Joseun Dynasty, people in the Hamkyung province were suffering from severe poverty and hunger. Rumors spread that someone in the woods was buying people's "life thread". It sounded like a terrible joke, but those who were paid for their life thread actually died before their time.

Sul-Li, a fisherman's daughter, is worried about her little brother because all the men in her family died young while at sea. Then she hears the rumor of the "life-threader".

"If one can buy a life thread, then one can also sell it, right?"

Ha-Wol is the one who buys 'life-threads' for fragile Dong-I, the Taoist fairy who became human. Ha-Wol sees Sul-Li and realizes Sul-Li's body could save Dong-I for good. So Ha-Wol makes Sul-Li an offer she cannot refuse…
