Manhua

Manhua are comics from China. Today most of them are full-color webcomics built as a vertical strip for reading on a phone, and series often run for hundreds of chapters because Chinese platforms publish them frequently and for years.

The best-known genres are cultivation and wuxia, where a hero climbs through ranks of power, looks for a master, joins sects and challenges the heavens. There is much more besides: urban fantasy, rebirth stories, romance at an imperial court and comedy.

Long series are easier to enjoy without rushing. Add a title to Reading and you will be notified about new chapters, and the ratings and comments from other readers can help you pick where to start.
