Ichiri Sanjo, a middle school student raised in a typical household, lives under a persistent shadow of loneliness and suffocating restriction. One day, after school, while caught in the middle of a convenience store robbery, she is swept into a surreal experience—the very moment her journey of discovery and liberation ignites. Music, combat, dance, philosophy, and religion... Through the lens of Capoeira—a martial art encompassing every facet of human expression—visionary creator Toshio Sako pours his technical mastery into this extraordinary, coming-of-age violent epic. A genre-defying saga of youth begins.
