The story is set in the mid-Showa period, shortly after the war. Underwear was nothing more than a practical item, and enjoying it as fashion was considered taboo. Meanwhile, novice female editor Yuri Itokawa comes across a garter bustier at a general store and learns that underwear is an invisible "armor for the soul."
