Vattu is an award-winning anthropological epic about empire and identity.
It follows Vattu, a young girl from a nomadic tribe known as the Fluters, who live along the great river Ata. As an expanding empire encroaches upon their ancestral lands, Vattu finds herself caught in the middle of a monumental clash of cultures.
Forced to leave behind everything she has ever known, she enters a vast and complex imperial world filled with strange creatures, rigid hierarchies, and conflicting beliefs.
Blending rich world-building, intricate politics, and deeply personal storytelling, Vattu explores themes of colonialism, cultural identity, belonging, and change in a beautifully illustrated fantasy setting.
